Expansion in Claremont NC

News, Service Expansion | Comments Off

March 11, 2015

Hickory, NC – NCW is a locally owned business by partners Bill Shillito and Joshua Strickland and was founded in 2003.  A unique asset to area residents offering LightLeap and AirFiber products to homes and businesses across western North Carolina.  NCW operates its network from Rural Avery County all the way to the Lake Norman area with plans for multiple future expansions in the Greater Hickory area as well as further east in the Piedmont of the State in 2016.

One of those recent expansions happened last week when President Bill Shillito worked on a public-private partnership with the City of Claremont, NC to utilize one of their water towers (tanks) to deploy fixed wireless data services into the industrial park located in Claremont.  NCW had several requests from businesses and factories in the area for affordable access to Enterprise Data Connections.  These connections rival fiber in speed and are even faster deployment (less lead-time) with a fraction of the cost to deploy.

Shillito and Strickland believe their technology and network continues to evolve in leaps and bounds due to lower costs and emerging technologies enabling them to offer faster and higher quality connections to communities who have limited or no options when it comes to fast, no-data-cap Internet access.  NCW will begin selling data packages as early as this week to businesses in the Claremont Industrial park as well as the new Solar Farm being developed within a mile of the water tank.  Any business or home with a clear view of the water tank is a good candidate for their services in Claremont.  If a home or business is interested they should visit their website at www.lightleap.net and fill out their service request form to see which services may be available to them.

LightLeap and Airfiber are NCW’s broadband data products that can offer Enterprise data speeds in Line-of-Sight configurations of up to 100mbps, near Line-of-Sight configuration up to 20mbps and PtP configurations up to 1 gigabit and typically can be deployed within 5-10 business days with no special build-out or potentially longer lead time for links needed additional construction.  NCW has conducted internal customer surveys the previous 2 years and have a 96% customer satisfaction rating.
